SAMPAŞ, initiated two more major EU projects in scope of Horizon 2020 programme.


SAMPAŞ, who is enlisted as third in the “H2020 The most successful Turkish Industrial organizations” list prepared by TUBITAK, initiated two more major EU project in scope of Horizon 2020 programme, starting from January 2018. In the last January, the project start-up meetings were held in Oslo (Sieugreen) and Selanik (Cutler) cities.

Sieugreen project is supported by EU Commission in scope of the Horizion 2020 programme by a 7 M€ budget. SİEUGreen is managed by multi-disciplinary consortium of European and Chinese researchers, technology providers, SMEs, financiers, local and regional authorities and citizen communities and the project is expected to last 48 months.

The project aspires to depict how technological and societal innovation in urban agriculture can positively affect the society and economy. The following technologies will be implemented to create community gardens in Hatay: traditional Greenhouse technology, Soil-based traditional plant growing, Water-based hydroponic culture, Aquaponic cultures (plant fish fully recycling technology), Paper-based plant growing technology, Use of organic waste product for the production of insects in connection of aquaponic system, Photovoltaic panels (PV)

CUTLER project is supported under the Horizion 2020 programme by a budget of 5 M€ and the duration of the project is 36 months. The project is managed by a consortium comprising of 15 partners from 10 countries. In scope of the project, transformation of the of the Duden Brook’s environment into a recreation and park area is planned.

In CUTLER project, participating pilot cities are Antalya (Turkey), Thessaloniki (Greece), Antwerp (Belgium), City of Cork (Ireland); In SiEUGreen, Hatay (Turkey), Fredrikstad (Norway), Changsa (China), Beijing (China), Aarhus (Denmark) cities join.
